Message from the Mayor:
Beginning on June 1, 2007, I joined an impressive list of Heath Mayors that includes Richard Hoback, Edward Hitchcock, Glen Porter, Chet Geller and Dan Dupps. Each of these individuals made an impact on our community, helping it to become a great place in which to live and work. I intend to carry on their tradition of hard work, while promoting Heath’s motto: “City of Progress – Citizens with Pride.” I look to the future with purpose and hope, pledging to ensure that our community continues to be a place of economic growth that affords its residents an outstanding quality of life.
I offer my warmest regards to Dan Dupps who served as an outstanding Mayor of our city for nine years. He will be missed at City Hall, and I know that everyone in the community joins me in wishing him the best.
The Mayor’s position is an awesome responsibility. I do not take it lightly. Those who know me understand my work ethic. My pledge to the Heath community is that like my predecessors, I will perform my duties with integrity, energy, and hard work. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Sincerely,
Richard J. Waugh
